GDPS Jind
School With A Difference

Guru Dronacharya Public School, Jind, celebrated Guru Nanak Jayanti on the 27th of November at the conference hall. The students came dressed in traditional attire, and the program commenced with the prayer, ‘Ek Onkar’. The conference hall was filled with the prayer, which was chanted by the students in reverence and homage. After that, Meenal and Ushmi, students of Grade 4, came forward to share useful information relating to the life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji in the form of a dialogue. The tiny tots of Grade 1 and 2 also presented a dance on the song “Chitte Chitte Tare,” and students of Middle School depicted glimpses of the sacred life lived by Guru Nanak Dev Ji and presented a skit that taught us about his preaching. Serenity and calmness floated in the air with the beautiful humming of the shabads, which were presented by Grade 5 boys (“Main Teri Patang”), and it paved the way for a very fruitful and productive day for all. The festival was celebrated by all the students with great pride, honor, and respect. The festival concluded with our Principal, Ms. Ashu Rathore Gupta, appreciating the performances of the young performers and encouraged them to follow what Guru Nanak Dev Ji taught and lived for.
